  • A newly founded automotive system supplier in eMobility needs to develop a fully electrical drivetrain
  • The project is far behind schedule; client homologation & functional safety goals have to be ensured

The Approach

  • Turnaround project by the initiation of a cross-functional development approach (feature teams)
  • Provide expert knowledge, best practices and operational know-how to set up the project planning & monitoring
  • Set up release planning via MS Project and synchronize it with the overall project schedule
  • Develop & implement transparent KPIs for accurate tracking & reporting of defect, CR and work package status
  • Set up communication strategy

  • Initiation & implementation of feature team organization
  • Established solution for planning and progress tracking in PLM tool with focus on traceability
  • Synchronized Feature Implementation & Release planning in MS Project
  • Monitoring of the progress in the function development in the feature teams via accurate KPIs (burn-up chart, weekly target/actual comparison, overdue evaluations)
  • Set up communication and reporting structure to management and customer
  • Management workshops were moderated to identify improvement potentials and agree on recovery plan.
  • Function Development TPM was enabled to lead the cross-functional development team
