  • The client does not have sufficient SOTIF expertise, but must follow the standard and create a SOTIF release argument for product release.

The Approach

  • Use of STPA to identify functional insufficiencies and triggering conditions
  • Use of safety work products (Item definition, HARA, FSC, V&V strategy, safety case) as basis for SOTIF work products (Specification and design, HIRE)
  • Workshops together with client, e.g., to define control structure
