The Challenge

  • The customer required a Functional Safety Concept for an iActuator regarding the function “remote braking” for a defense vehicle to clear IED-fields.

The Approach

  • INVENSITY created an Item Definition based on the input provided by the Tier-1 Supplier.
  • After completing the Item Definition INVENSITY reviewed the HARA from the Tier-1 Supplier and matched it with the Item Definition.
  • The customer received feedback regarding inconsistencies and contradictions which could be identified thanks to the system analysis for hazard identification done by INVENSITY.
  • Afterwards a detailed Functional Safety Concept was given to the Tier-1 Supplier.
