The Challenge

  • Client needs to adhere to IEC 62443
  • Several Cybersecurity activities are already integrated into development / maintenance, but completeness is not ensured yet and corresponding documentation is lacking

The Approach

  • Existing documentation is provided by the client and checked by INVENSITY
  • During a joint workshop, questions regarding the provided input documents are clarified, a common understanding of the current situation is ensured, and existing gaps are discussed
  • INVENSITY prepares high-level proposals for measures to be to close these gaps
  • The proposed measures are discussed during a 2nd workshop to jointly agree on suitable measures and their priorities

Result & Added Value

  • Cybersecurity awareness was heightened for all stakeholders during the workshops
  • A common understanding of existing processes and practices as well as of the requirements imposed by IEC 62443 was ensured
  • A gap analysis regarding IEC 62443 highlighting gaps in activities as well as in documentation was created based on the received input documents and the joint workshop
  • Possible measures for closing these gaps were defined and recommendations for their implementation were given
  • A common understanding of these proposals, the related efforts and their impact was ensured
