The Challenge

  • The client wanted an application prototype for its new home automation app
  • The prototype should support a dark and a light mode
  • The prototype should work on cross platforms

The Approach

  • Using MVP approach to create a first prototype in a very fast way
  • Creation of different designs using Adobe Photoshop
  • Creation of mockups using Adobe XD to design user interaction with app
  • Creation of an app using React native to create a cross-platform app for Android and iOS
  • Established connection between app and API backend to interact with test environment (actors and sensors)

Result & Added Value

  • Running mockup created with Adobe XD within final HMI concept
  • Implemented React native app for Android and iOS
  • Implemented API service layer to encapsulate API calls from using axios
