Process Implementation in the automotive industry – Automotive SPICE®

Are you acting as a supplier or development service provider in the automotive industry, or are you planning this step in the future? Do your potential customers require proof of a corresponding ASPICE® Capability Level from you as a basis for further acquisition activities or the continuation of joint business activities?

What is Automotive SPICE®?

Automotive SPICE® is a process assessment and reference model established in the automotive industry by the VDA, which is mainly used to develop mechatronic systems and software. Within the framework of this model, the VDA has focused on 16 process areas that cover the core of a supplier’s development activities. The model is based on known best and standard practices in vehicle development. With the launch of ASPICE 4.0, cybersecurity and machine learning processes were also included.

In addition to the previous focus on systems engineering and software engineering, HWSPICE and MSPICE will also emphasize hardware and mechanical development.

Why do you need Automotive SPICE®?

Large German and international manufacturers require their suppliers and sub-suppliers to prove a predefined maturity level (capability level) in product development. Without this proof, there is often a risk of exclusion from future contracts. In addition, cost-intensive supplier support measures are initiated by the respective OEM. These consequences must be countered at an early stage.

In addition to the apparent operational aspect, an ASPICE® implementation can also serve as a basis for quality improvements, risk, and cost reductions in the medium to long term.

Offer

Process introduction is usually associated with a transformation phase. To cope with this situation, we apply our two-part change process.

In addition to the content-related, organizational, or structural elaboration, it is important to us that we focus equally on executing people in the related projects. Our offer covers partial aspects as well as the complete transformation.

Our experts certified by the VDA as Provisional ASPICE® Assessors are happy to advise you on all ASPICE® topics.

Process development

When developing your process, it is helpful to have a basis for discussion. INVENSITY has developed its own development process over the years. This covers other common standards in addition to ASPICE®. As part of the consulting service, this development process is adapted to your specific organizational or product-specific requirements and can ultimately be implemented in your projects.

ISEPAK® Assessment

We evaluate your situation with our internal INVENSITY System Engineering Process Assessment Kit. In addition to the requirements of Automotive SPICE®, Safety Management and Cybersecurity requirements can also be considered.

ASPICE Coachings & Trainings

Through our Academy, we offer you and your employees personalized coaching and training in the process areas of Systems Engineering (SYS), Software Engineering (SW), Project Management (MAN.3), as well as the areas of Quality, Problem Resolution, and Change Request Management.

ASPICE® Concept Workshop

In a workshop, we work with you to develop a possible target state and identify initial potential.

Accompanying Consulting

You have already established your first ASPICE® activities and now want to take the next step?

Operational Support

Especially in the field of e-mobility, an enormous development speed is required. Often, there is not enough time to train your staff to work in a process-compliant manner.

Project References

As part of our consulting projects, we have already successfully supported various Tier1 and Tier2 suppliers in the implementation of ASPICE® Level 2 and Level 3. Please feel free to ask us for references.
