Social Responsibility

We are aware of our responsibility towards society and want to contribute positively to its development. Therefore, since its foundation in 2007 INVENSITY has already supported numerous social projects – especially with a regional focus.

Liter of Light

Did you know that millions of people worldwide suffer from light poverty and have no access to light at home even during the day? The global “Liter of Light” movement provides technology to these people and shows them how to make solar lamps from recycled plastic bottles to light their communities.

These lead to an enormous increase in their quality of life, as the lighting systems both create safety on the streets and allow people to engage in activities of any kind after dusk.

As INVENSITY, we are setting an example by participating in the “Liter of Light” movement and would like to raise awareness of the issue of light poverty. Therefore, we not only support the movement financially with donations, but also enable our employees to make a difference directly on the ground.

The “Liter of Light” movement in Brazil was even initiated by one of our former employees, Leonardo Uematsu. Despite the challenges the Corona pandemic brings, we continue to work together to provide support.

Globally, “Liter of Light” has already reached more than 1 million people. Moreover, this work has been recognized by major awards such as the UN’s World Habitat Awards and the Zayed Energy Prize, considered the Nobel Prize for sustainable energy.

Kindergarten Contest

“Good ideas are often the start of something great. So is innovation, which has the potential to positively impact the development and future of our children.”  (Frank Lichtenberg, Director of INVENSITY)

What do building a bicycle water pump with an electricity generator, installing a kindergarten apiary and designing a creative space have in common? All of these projects have the potential to teach children about science, teamwork, sustainability, responsibility and creativity through play. And since this is precisely the goal of the INVENSTIY Kindergarten Contest, all of these projects have been among the winning ideas in previous years.

We launched the Kindergarten Contest in 2010. Our aim is to promote the commitment and innovative ideas of childcare facilities. Childcare facilities in and around our five German office locations – Wiesbaden, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Munich – are invited to participate. Currently, we are not only offering a total of 5,000 euros in prize money, but also providing technical or personnel support where requested.

Kindergarten Contest 2021

Promoting environmental awareness – Invitation to the INVENSITY Kindergarten Contest

Climate change requires creative thinking from all of us. As our children’s everyday lives will be increasingly affected by the challenges and consequences of kima change, we aim to address these challenging circumstances with this year’s INVENSITY Kindergarten Contest. We support you in implementing innovative technological solutions that ensure that our offspring can face these consequences in a reflective and creative way.

Do you have an idea on how to consume energy in a more environmentally friendly way? Do you see opportunities to teach your protégés about environmentally friendly travel? Do you lack the technical or financial means or simply the courage to implement it?

We cordially invite you to participate in the INVENSITY Kindergarten Contest 2021: Apply with your concept for the promotion of child development by 23rd October 2021.

A total of 10,000 euros in prize money is being offered, which will be distributed among the five most convincing applications. Please describe on one to two pages what makes your institution stand out, what your idea is, how you envisage its implementation and how you would like to use the prize money if you win. All project proposals submitted by the deadline will be evaluated according to the criteria innovation, creativity, feasibility and participation of the kindergarten and its parents in the implementation. INVENSITY has developed its own system to systematize the experience and knowledge of employees. With the knowledge database “Hivescout”, all employees have direct access to all projects, trainings, topics and in-depth information ever created and created. It also contains systematically evaluated lessons learned, from which best practices for follow-up projects are generated.

A particularly important point is the internal training of our employees. The INVENSITY Academy ensures the development and dissemination of knowledge and required qualifications.
