      The mentor is not a supervisor, leader or teacher. The mentor’s task is to be a role model and to live the values of INVENSITY as a consultant and promoter, to pass on his or her experience and to be a contact person in case of conflicts and challenges.

      Mentees have the opportunity to discover and develop their (hidden) abilities during mentoring and develop their personality according to his values. Mentoring serves as a constant orientation aid to ensure that the mentee achieves the development goals agreed upon in the semi-annual assessments.

      The relationship between mentee and mentor is therefore long-term and is characterized by trust and confidentiality. The mentee can also proactively help shape the content of the discussion. In regular meetings, they discuss whatever moves them. Thus, in addition to topics such as administrative processes, successful networking, methods in project work, the main focus is on career and development.

      Part of the development of every employee is the goal of becoming a mentor at some point. With increasing professionalism and seniority, you will mentor mentees and share your experiences with them.

      Associate Consultant / Software Engineer

      Since graduation, I’ve been looking for a company that would allow me to follow the career path of a software developer, since that was one path I’ve been interested in since high school. After a couple of detours in other job paths in other companies, I found INVENSITY through an online job posting.

      The Manila branch of INVENSITY was small back then, consisting only of two German colleagues and two Filipino analysts. During the application process back then they asked logic questions that tested my basic analytical thinking. The two German colleagues, Simon and Sebastian, conversed with me casually. From that alone, I would’ve accepted the job offer because of how friendly they were and how well they knew what they were talking about.

      But from the moment they explained INVENSITY’s work culture, I knew that INVENSITY is the kind of company I want to work for. Here at INVENSITY we value employee growth, allowing one to grow through an excellent system of giving and sharing feedback, which allows us to develop ourselves through the words of others. The variety of projects also allows me to tackle different programming and/or web languages, giving me at least the option to choose what kind of program I want to focus on.

      I’ve been with INVENSITY for two years now, and I am currently following the path of the consultant, with my current position being “Associate Consultant”. Over the two years I’ve been with INVENSITY, I’ve worked on multiple projects, one of which includes creating a tool that allows whistleblowers to send mail to advisors anonymously.

      For these past few years, I’ve enjoyed the freedom I’m having with regards to when and what I want to work. It allows me to dictate the best time for me to work on my day-to-day tasks. Another reason I value INVENSITY is due to the feedback system. By hearing feedback from colleagues, it allows me to develop myself even more, both professionally and personally.

      Associate Consultant / Research Analyst

      I started as an Analyst for the INVENSITY Center of Excellence Mergers and Acquisitions. We worked on several client projects and proposals with the guidance of senior and principal consultants. Involvement at the company is very hands-on: you really get to do the work and implement projects, beyond just learning about it. In a few months, I had been a part of 10 or more client projects, double the output I may have had in a year’s time. I am grateful to be part of teams supporting clients on topics of enterprise, automotive, medical and environment tech.

      INVENSITY has provided me with the right environment to grow, and the opportunity to move up the ladder is well-planned and attainable. During the end of my 10th project, my career level was adjusted to Associate Consultant, to match the skill shown. If it weren’t for the attentiveness of my managers, and the transparent process for position adjustment, it would not have been possible in a short time. If this was my career trajectory, imagine what may be possible in 2-3 years. I feel like I have grown so much career-wise but there is still a lot to learn.

      The work environment at INVENSITY is very collaborative, and we have an open atmosphere. Working in teams and enabling colleagues is the norm. The way to move up is to be helpful and to help others. It sends a very positive vibe at work and makes you enjoy what you do.

      For me, working at INVENSITY is like living in time-lapse. Being part of a company that grows so fast and being able to contribute to that growth is, in my opinion, a one in a million chance.

      After spending some time learning about technologies after getting my degree in Computer Science, I started to look for work opportunities. I initially wanted to look for a traditional Java oriented role, but then I stumbled across INVENSITY. The Manila branch was just establishing is roots and I was excited to learn what this was all about.

      I had one of my earliest professional interviews at that point, and learning about the culture, and the possibilities if I were to join INVENSITY was exciting. After seeing what they had to offer, I was ready to go along the journey of the branch to where it is now. We had started as a group of 4, initially working in a small, shared office space. Step by step I saw the team expand to more than 10, and the initial office that we had stayed in turn into a full-fledged office space for the Manila branch.

      Other than the progress that the Manila office has gone through, I deeply appreciate the culture and support that INVENSITY has provided to its talents. The possibilities when it came to specialization, as well as the variety of experiences enables my colleagues and me to go after what we would want in terms of our personal career. My expertise when it comes to work has touched on a variety of technologies, developing software in multiple facets and applications. I am thankful to have started my career at INVENSITY. I am excited to see where the Manila branch is headed, as well as experience the progress with my current and upcoming colleagues.

      What I learned at INVENSITY at an early stage: anything is possible, as long as you act proactively and with courage and trust. You always have a team behind you that has your back.

      I graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was not sure if I should look for a career related to my undergraduate degree or branch out to other fields that interest me. After months of pondering, I decided to go with the latter. Specifically, I decided to look for programming jobs since I was really interested in programming during my undergraduate years.

      I was having a hard time applying for programming-related jobs since I did not graduate with a background in programming. Luckily, I got to know INVENSITY through referral from one of its employees. At first, I was hesitant to take the opportunity since INVENSITY was just starting up in the Philippines and I was also not familiar with the company. But taking the opportunity to apply to INVENSITY was a great decision. During my interview, I felt like INVENSITY was looking more for my passion in programming rather than my undergraduate degree. I was also promised growth in INVENSITY, and that’s the most important thing that I am looking for in a company, especially since my career is still in its early stages.

      I joined INVENSITY in April 2021 and I have been an Analyst/Software Developer for five months. Starting your first job in the middle of the pandemic is not easy. You must adjust not only to the work culture but also to the remote work set-up. Luckily, I have peers and mentors who were willing to help me adjust to my new environment. I was warmly welcomed by my colleagues and integrating with the work culture became a breeze.

      Before joining INVENSITY, I only knew of a few programming languages such as Python and Java. During my first few weeks in INVENSITY, I got assigned to study different technologies that we might use for a future project. I did not know any of these technologies, but I decided that I was up for the challenge. After just 5 months, I got to know a lot of different technologies such as React, Spring Boot, Docker, and Apache Kafka. What I love about working in INVENSITY is that I get challenged and I learn new things everyday; you never know what challenges await you.
