INVENSITY has advised Anker Kassensystem GmbH, a portfolio company of Halder Beteiligungsberatungs GmbH, on the acquisition of the Berlin based SaaS company LocaFox GmbH from the company founders and other investors and has conducted the commercial and technical due diligence.
The goal of this transaction is to continue the growth strategy of Anker. The market for cloud-based POS software solutions offers an attractive growth potential. At the same time, Anker is opening up a new customer group.
In recent years INVENSITY has been mandated several times for technical and/or commercial due diligence in the field of cloud based software solutions. Here INVENSITY used in particular its profound technology and product know-how from past projects in this area.
The Commercial and Technical Due Diligence with focus on the evaluation of the competitive position as well as the technical analysis of the software was conducted by:

About Locafox GmbH
LocaFox develops and distributes cloud-based software solutions especially for small and medium-sized companies in the retail sector. The cloud based Point-of-Sale solution „LocaFox POS“ with an integrated merchandise management system is used daily more than 2,500 times all over Germany. It offers retailers services, tools and technologies that connect them to the omnichannel universe.
About Halder Beteiligungsberatung GmbH
Halder is a financial investor in the German-speaking region since 1991. Since then, it has invested in 42 medium-sized companies. The investments usually achieve growth through internationalization, strategic refocusing, growth investments and acquisitions. Halder is held and managed by the three partners Mathias Fackelmeyer, Christian Muschalik and Philipp Scheier. Halder is currently investing its sixth fund and managing a portfolio of six companies.

Anker Kassensysteme GmbH goes back to the Bielefeld Anker Werke from 1876, last owned by the Oracle IT group and known as a manufacturer of cash registers. After the re-establishment in 2015, Anker is again an independent company selling cash cassettes, cash drawers, flexible holder systems and cash register systems for the point of sale and is the market leader in the cash cassette sector in the D-A-CH region. In October 2020, Anker successfully announced the takeover of the Berlin software company LocaFox and thus returns to its roots as a POS system provider.
